SQL connection still in my list of datasources after I have removed it

I have a powerapp that I originally connected directly to my on prem SQL server. I realised after I had done it that it wasn't what I wanted for this powerapp, removed the connection and then re-created the SQL actions through Power Automate.

The odd thing that I have now is that even after I have removed the data connected to my app it is still showing in the list of data connections when I share the app along with Office 365 Users:

However neither of those are in the list of datasources when I edit the app:

The Office 365 Users connection isn't too much of an issue but I don't want users of the app to have the SQL server shared with them.

Does anyone know why this is still in the list when sharing? Is it because they are using in the flows?

    Hi @Anonymous ,

Do you mean even remove the SQL connector from your App, the App shared with others would still ask user to allow the SQL connector?

If so, it is a known issue that connections information would exist in the cache after removing from the App. If you would like to remove a connection from an app permanently, you could try to:

1\ When editing the app in Power Apps studio, remove the connections you don’t want.

2\ Select File on the command bar, select Save As to download the app to local storage as .msapp file.

3\ In Power Apps portal, select Apps, then select New app-> Canvas to open studio. In the studio, select Open-> Browse and select the .msapp file in your machine.

4\ Save the app as a new app.

    5\ Share this new app.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi @v-jefferni ,

Thanks for getting back to me. Yes, it still asks the user to allow the SQL connection.

I have just done the above you suggested and both the SQL connector and the Office 365 user connection are still in the connections list and prompt users to allow these before they enter the app, even though they aren't in the data list when editing the app.

Is this because the flows in the app are connected to the SQL server and O365 user connection?

    Thanks

    Hi @Anonymous ,

    Sorry for my delayed response.

If you have embedded a Flow which connects to SQL Server and Office 365 users in your App, then SQL Server and Office365Users connection would be included in the App and ask for permissions when users open the App first time. They will need Stand alone licenses as well since SQL Server connector is a premium connector.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks @v-jefferni ,

I thought that was the case, little bit annoying as I didn't want the users to have to allow the SQL connection but if I can't get around it then it will have to stay there.

    Thanks again
