How to create file in local device using plugin?

Hi all,

I am creating a custom API to fetch data from dynamics 365, I want to convert this data and store it in my computer. I have tried using File.Create and File.WriteAllText functions, but it is not working. How can I achieve this?

Thank you.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi @Anonymous ,

Have you looked at using the following connector to write local files?  https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/connectors/filesystem/

or does this not fit into your business case?

    Hi @dpoggemann, Thank you.

I want to achieve this in online version of Power Apps using plugin only. Does these File System connectors can be used in plugin?

plugin is server side logic and runs only inside the context of the instance, it can't interact with your local computer.

You will need to use another approach (like the one @dpoggemann suggested)

    Hi @Anonymous ,

I don't develop plugins myself but here is an article discussing calling a flow from a plugin.  Invoke Power Automate/ Microsoft Flow from plugin in Dynamics 365 - Debajit's Power Apps & Dynamics 365 Blog (debajmecrm.com)
