Does sharing Desktop Flows with another user require both users to have a 'Per user plan with attended RPA' license?

Hi all,

As the subject suggest, i am wondering if both users need a 'Per user plan' in order to share Desktop Flows?

I want to share a Desktop Flow I created with another employee. For now, neither him or I have an active license.

If only I want to share a desktop flow with him, does he also require a license in order to receive my shared flow?

Thanks in advance!

    Hi @Dion_tw,

    License is required for this.

    Thanks,

    Karan

Hm thanks, that sucks. Think its a bit much to pay for every user that uses only 1 or two small scripts. Thanks anyway!

Not as easy as cloud sharing, but you can copy and paste the pad code into txt document and share manually. If you only have a few people using the flow you can save on the license that way.

You could also package the desktop flow in a solution then export the solution and provide the user the zip file. This is not a good long term solution as it would require the same steps every time you make an update.

I tried the solutions method and was not able to upload the solution on the other employee's account, I believe it said solution already present or something.

I may have been doing something wrong, but I could not get it to work with 2 users on the same 365 tenant.

If using copy and paste method you have to do all subflows individually and recreate those subflows in the new person's account, quite annoying with a lot of subflows.

I have not seen that error so I unfortunately can't provide any feedback that is of value. Hopefully someone else sees this and can comment on best practice for exporting/importing flows to another user.
