Trimming down the capacity usage of environments

Hi everyone!

I need a tad of help regarding the capacity usage of environments of my organization, specifically the Default which is using 30+ gb of space, when I checked through the admin center I realized that almost all of the usage came from a type called "AnnotationBase" and while searching I couldn't find a definitive answer.

What is AnnotationsBase?, What can provoke it? and how can I trim it down in a safe way?

All answers are greatly appreciated

@SRD1249 The annotation table is where file attachments are stored - typically if you use the standard 'Notes' functionality for file attachments in Dynamics 365/Model Driven Apps.

Generally this usage is not recommended for large files. There's some good general advice on freeing up storage space here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/free-storage-space

AnnotationBase must be a legacy name fron Dynamics365.

    Hi,
Thats what we are trying to identify, for that reason I wanted to know what AnnotationBase is, in the documentation you posted I didnt saw AnnotationBase, so could you explain me what is it?

From a quick glance the environment has tables but none of the has enough data to reach the amount of 30gb, and most of the are empty

    Hi,

looking in google it seems a table called "Note" to store documents:
    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-apps/developer/data-platform/attachment-annotation-files?tabs=sdk

May you have any apps or flows in the enviroment that is using without control.
You can edit the table and see this documents and clicking in Using this table to can view the apps or flows dependents.
