Find Image works on screen 1, but not screen 2...

Hi Guys.

I am trying to troubleshoot when and how to use functions including images in my desktop flows, but so far I found this a bit unreliable. With that said it really like the feature, but just want to understand the limitations and why it works in some cases, but not in others... So here is what I tried to do:

1. Connecting my laptop to docking station which have two identical screens connected. And "Yes" I have for the sake of the test also check that all settings on the screens are identical, though I would not think that it mattered except for screen resolution which is also identical.

2. Build-up a short "dummy" flow where I open excel and try to use 'Move mouse to image' and click the image. The image was the table icon in the tab 'insert'.

3. When I run this flow on screen 1, where the flow is build, it works... When I move this to screen 2 and run the flow it cannot find the image.

4. If I then add the same image, but where the callout is done on screen 2 (so I have two images in the action, it works on both screens.

5. If I remove the image which was made on screen 1, so I only have the one made on screen 2, it still works on screen 1 and also screen 2...

This confuses me 🙂

And now I know that many people might say well it is just because using images is unreliable, but that's not what I am seeking... I simply what to understand why this happens, so I know which situations I can use this function.

I hope someone can help or at least give me some input... Thanks in advance.

BR Simon

@SimonRICSman.... using images is unreliable 😉

But on a serious note - I have a couple of lows that were built on2k screen, running fine on 1080p and 720p in unattended mode/

I'll try to replicate and  test on mine tomorrow and let you know if i get same results.

I assume no one have had the same issue... If anyone else encounter this issue:

    - I tested various solutions, but found no really good answer except from going through 'Registry Editor' and ensuring that Xresolution, Yresolution and ColorDepth was set to exactly the same... I don't know if this was the solution, but since adjusting these i haven't had the issue.
