PowerApps appears to be increasingly unstable. I am getting this message:

The 'Access Mode' column in the data source you're updating expects a 'OptionSetValue' type and you're using a 'Option Set Value Type'

See image titled 'PowerAppsIssue'.

However, I save and reload the app and it's fine (see PowerAppsIssue-OK)!

What is going on here?

Hey @Anonymous

To resolve this issue, you need to pass the values for lookup type column in the correct schema using the Choices(EntityName.ColumnName) expression as:

{

'Shift Activity': Lookup(Choices('Shift Activity Assistants'.'Shift Activity'),'Activity UID' = LinkedActivity),

Assistant: Lookup(Choices('Shift Activity Assistants'.Assistant), User=UserID),

Name: Name

}

Hi thanks again this does appear to be working and it appears to have helped another issue I was having. However, what I don't understand is why this original issue is an issue on the first load but when reloading it goes away.

Hey @Anonymous

This is a runtime error which is encountered when a request is initiated. That is why after refreshing the error goes away but it appears back as soon as the button is clicked.

Are you getting any more errors? Please share more details.
