All Images Missing in Power Apps, Cannot Upload New Media

Hello Power Apps Community,

I’m experiencing an issue where all images in my Power Apps apps have disappeared. Additionally, when I try to upload a new image, I get the error:

"There was a problem adding your media."

This problem occurs across all apps, including newly created ones, and in different browsers. I have already tried:

  •

    Clearing cache and cookies

  •

    Using multiple browsers

  •

    Creating new apps

  •

…but the issue persists.

Has anyone else encountered this problem, or is there a known solution/workaround? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

    Good Afternoon,

Not sure how big of an environment [private, commercial or what not] but, the error you are talking about either sounds like an endpoint error which is a Microsoft issue or your environment is running out of space and your environment admin should be able to go into the admin panel and view the storage space within the environment.

@MMcCloud - yeah I'm having the same issue and being told by my corporate / enterprise IT department that "we have plenty of space in our tenant"

I just created a blank canvas app and tried to upload a 4KB image of a PPT icon. Failed with the same error.

So is there another reason this could be happening?

    Good Evening,

I don't know where you fall into the Power Platform discussion in terms of role of developer or environment admin etc. However, I am going to assume there are other admins in your environment and they are still working on configuring the DLP (Data Loss Prevention) Policies.

If you have admin access then go to the Power Platform Admin Center then -> Data Policies

Look for where polcies are applied to the environment(s) where the issue is happening to your images.

If you see anything on that environment see if conectors like Dataverse, Power Apps for media or Blob Storage are restricted for the user role you are at.

For this problem and testing though the easiest way to test it if you have the capacity/permissions is to go into Power Apps and create a new fresh environment and see if the error persist even without the DLP policies applied.

So adding even more insanity to this....

When people use the app (Play Mode) in Chrome or Edge, it works fine (images are rendering).

When editing in Chrome, I'm getting the errors.

When editing in Edge, everything works perfectly.

    Thoughts?

I believe this is due to the differences in the way that Edge handles images vs how Chrome handles them. I don't think there is really a solution other than to try clearing your cache in chrome and seeing if when you re-open the app and upload an image if it works or if any appear it could be something about the way its applying the Power Apps domx layers for you to edit you could try inspecting the page as well where you are uploading themto see if there is an error.
