Sorry, the bot can't talk for a while. It's something the bot's owner needs to address. Error

Was this a one off error or have you been able to replicate the error?

What was the agent trying to do when it presented the error? Was it trying to run a Copilot Flow which may have failed perhaps? This could have resulted in this kind of error being displayed.

    Thanks

This is a known error documented by Microsoft. It typically occurs when an agent was published through a solution import or solution deployment, which can leave the published version in a broken state.
The fix is straightforward: go to Copilot Studio, open the agent, and republish it. That refreshes the published version and resolves the error.
If the agent was not recently imported or deployed via a solution, it can also happen after a platform update affects the published state. Republishing still resolves it in that case.
After republishing, ask the affected user to start a new conversation in Teams (not resume the old one) to pick up the fresh published version.

This message means the Copilot Studio agent (bot) has been temporarily disabled, unpublished, or is experiencing a configuration or licensing issue. It’s a generic error shown when the bot cannot respond due to a backend or administrative problem.
    Common causes:
    • The agent was unpublished or disabled by the owner.
    • The agent’s license expired or was removed.
    • There’s a configuration or permission issue (e.g., Teams channel disabled, access revoked).
    • Backend service or publishing changes are still propagating.
    What to do:
    • The agent owner should check Copilot Studio to ensure the agent is published, enabled for Teams, and properly licensed.
    • Verify no recent changes were made to access, publishing, or licensing.
    • If everything looks correct, wait a few minutes and try again—sometimes changes take time to propagate.
