Easiest/Least Expensive Way to Share Canvas Apps with Someone Outside Organization?

Our organization has developed a couple of apps for internal use that we are finding would greatly help our customers. We thought/hoped/assumed the ability to do so would be a part of Portal's capabilities.

Though there now is an option to share externaly (by assigning a license similar to an internal user), we were hoping for a more streamlined "sign-up" solution (similar to Portals where you can login with your own credentials, etc.). Also, with the least expensive option being $10/app/user/mo, the cost to do so would be difficult to justify with any true volume.

Does anyone know if there are plans to ever change this approach? Is anyone else out there interested in this sort of thing (easily sharing canvas/model apps en masse with their customer base)?

That said, PA has been a great option for interal use.

    Hi @AGS94,

You now have two options for this:

Further than this, you might need to vote and add comments on below idea:

Thanks Mona. Yes, I was aware of those options. It is nice that there is now at least an option to share externally, though the solution is quite clunky if you want to share a canvas (or model) app quickly and easily (and cost effectively) with the outside world.

Hopefully someday Microsoft will offer a true outward facing app solution. It would be great if they could figure out a way to roll canvas apps under the Portal license/pricing/functionality model, but of course that would be at odds with the current inward-facing structure/pricing model.

    Thanks for the response!
