Budget Tracker Canvas App Template

When creating the Budget Tracker Canvas app from the 'Start from template' area, there are five static tables that are automatically imported from Excel:  (1) ExpenseByCategory, (2) Receipts, (3) Categories, (4) Expenses, and (5) Budgets (see image below).  How do I see the table structure for these tables, so I can recreate them as dynamic tables in OneDrive?  There used to be a 'Make your own version of this app by connecting to data storage, such as OneDrive' function, which would automatically create the tables in OneDrive, but this is no longer available.  I just cannot figure out how to see the table structures to recreate each table.  Thanks for any help or advice anyone can offer.

    Hi  @Anonymous ,

    The easiest way is to create a DataTable control, first to select the excel table as the data source, and go to Add Field, then you can find all columns construct of that table.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks, @v-siky-msft.  I added a new table in OneDrive for Business to test, deleted the existing one in the app, and then connected to the new table.  The problem now is that I'm getting a series of errors.  When I added the ExpenseByCategory table, it states 'Incompatible Type.  The item that you're trying to put into a collection has a type that's not compatible with the collection'.  This is associated with the function below:

    ClearCollect(ExpenseByCategoryCollect, ExpenseByCategory);
    ClearCollect(ExpensesCollect, Expenses);
    UpdateContext({Timer1_1Stop: true})

    There is also another error, which is below.  It states 'Invalid argument type' and is associated with the function below:

    Filter(ExpenseByCategoryCollect,BudgetId=Gallery1.Selected.BudgetId).Expense

    Do you know what the problems are?  As far as I can tell, I've added all of the right columns to the table in OneDrive (see attachment).

    Hi @Anonymous

    Make sure your custom Excel Table has the same column type as the original.

    You can find that BudgetId, Expense and ID columns are all Number type, please be consistent.

    Thanks so much @v-siky-msft.  It now work!  You have been so helpful as I was at a loss as to how to fix these issues.  I really appreciate your kindness in guiding me through this.
