You could add the MCP server to a child or connected agent, and then call that agent from a topic, that should be supported.

    HI @CU07011630-0,

Upon my intereset on MCP integration, I took some Copilot help, this is what it says: (can you please check if these clue help?)

Regarding calling an MCP (Model Context Protocol) inside a Copilot topic and encountering a 400 error, the current situation is that MCP integration within topics is limited or not fully supported yet. The article you mentioned from last November aligns with this—MCP calls inside topics may not be officially supported or may have restrictions causing errors like 400 Bad Request.

From recent community and official troubleshooting guidance:

    • MCP calls often require specific configurations, such as full URI endpoints and strict adherence to input schema formats.

    • Some MCP features or custom connectors may work in Copilot Studio but fail when published in topics due to platform limitations or validation errors.

    • The 400 error can stem from unsupported redirect behaviors or schema mismatches in the MCP tool definition.

    • The product team is aware of these issues and working on improvements, but currently, MCP usage inside topics is constrained.

    •

If you want to call an MCP inside a topic, the best approach is:

    • Verify your MCP endpoint and schema strictly follow the latest MCP and Copilot Studio requirements.

    • Avoid unsupported features like redirects or complex schema types.

    • Test your MCP calls thoroughly in Copilot Studio before publishing.

    • Monitor official Microsoft updates for MCP support in topics as it evolves.
