Are unbounded controls possible in PCF?
Currenly the editor does not support unbound controls and hence they cannot be created however from the PCF infra perspective the unbound controls are supported. This capability is not available\exposed in preview because of the potential downside of handcrafting formXML and simple workaround of using any existing field to configure the control (dont save anything back).
Controls created using the above method can easilyt be later converted to unbound. Since there is a brand new form editor, the unbound capability will be built post core parity items - post Oct release most likely.
