Hello Power Users,
I was building a power app based on data verse as data base. I did enough permissions to basic user and can access the data from the data verse table. But unable to submit the data. Below is the error message I see. Looks like there are some special permissions for columns.
Create permissions for the XXXXX(column) attribute in YYYYY(listname) entity. Count secured attributes entity. User has 0 secured attribute privileges. CallerAp=null.
Any suggestions or help please?
Thanks in advance!
Hi @LaurenWithers ,
I was able to figure out the issue and fixed it. While creating the column in data verse I did select "Enable column security" in the advanced settings. I did unselect and now its working fine.
To view all the fields that are set to Enable column security .
In case if we want to have security enabled columns we need to grant them access at the point 6. Select the field then edit and update the permissions (Read, Update and Create) as per the requirement.
Hi @LaurenWithers ,
Some additional info, hope this will help out. The column on which the error is displaying is an auto number datatype of column.
Thank you so much again!
Hi @LaurenWithers ,
Thank you so much for the quick response with details.
1. I made sure user has the necessary permissions below Screenshot display it(wanted to show the level of access I granted).
2. Added access on the entity as well (in screenshot).
3. Is this same as the 2nd point?
Here's what I did.
Updated security roles on Basic User as shown below level. Made sure I granted access on all the lists related to the app.
Can you please help me out if I'm missing anything or need to look at any other points. As a developer I was able to submit fine. Not sure how to debug the error message on a separate column shown in the error message. Please help.
Thank you so much again!
from the error message you sent through, it appears that the user does not have the necessary permissions to create a record in the entity, specifically for the column. Additionally, the error mentions "secured attributes entity" and "secured attribute privileges," which might mean there are additional security settings in place?
