Flows with "Send an email with options" returning error upon clicking option in email

Today I have been made aware that all flows with the "Send an email with Options" action are returning an error when users click either of the options.

Error message: Exception occurred while receiving response

Now this does NOT stop the flow from working correctly. The selected response is collected, and dependent actions still work as intended. However, my users (and myself) are concerned about the Error message they receive and usually have no way to tell the flow registered their response or continued working. As you imagine, I am getting many emails about these errors and have been chasing down details to comfort them in knowing the flow worked correctly.

Is there something going on behind the scenes today? Are you aware of why this is happening? We have not made changes to any of these flows this week.

This answer is not a solution for your problem, but I just did a quick search and it looks like this same issue was reported a few months ago in different regions. There are no news on how they solved it then, but based on the lack of follow ups on those threads, it was likely a temporary issue:

I just tested this action from my end right now and everything is working fine. Also, there's nothing reported on PP or M365 Admin Center.

Thanks for the reply @rzaneti

I am also suspecting it is something temporary on Microsoft's end, as nothing has changed in our flows since they last successfully ran. Another day another weird issue...I guess. Will respond with a solution if one is found on my side.

Thanks @mike_face and @rzaneti. This issue is contuning to occur across multple tenants and evironments. Hopefully MS will have resolution soon as business users are starting to question the relability of Microsoft Services, which makes our jobs that much more difficult.

The errors I am receiving: Exception occurred while receiving response

And "Send an email with options" error (HTTP 409),

UPDATE: I’ve opened a support ticket with Microsoft and spoke with their support team. We successfully replicated the issue, and I’ve provided both Outlook and Power Automate logs for their review. The case has now been escalated for further investigation.

Opened a support request as the issue continues. Will provide any details if/when resolution is found.
