Hi All,

How to accomplish copy to clipboard in PowerApps, do we have any function or script or custom coding available?

    @Vishal1

Copying to the clipboard is not supported in PowerApps currently.  The user would have to manually select and then copy (ctrl-c) to get the data needed.

I would suggest voting on any of the following ideas in the Idea forum that are all the same!

This one has the most votes so far.  It was suggested as an idea on April 30 of 2017!!   Still nothing!

    Hi @Vishal1 ,

This may be an option to explore although I don't have any experience with it:

Thanks for sharing the link, this required MIT license and few extra installations, any idea whether Microsoft will support open source?

I know this post is old, but if someone finds their way here like me, I have posted my solution. I have created a PCF component that will do exactly what @Vishal1  is asking. I am attaching my solution for anyone else to use. The component has a button with a "copy-icon". On select of the button the text inserted in the parameter "CopyToText" will be copied to the users clipboard. In the "CopyToText", you can add a variable, a label.Text etc. I have made a short video as well.
What I am struggling with is, that I would like to add the option, that after the copying to clipboard has happened, I would like to make a "notify" function, so that the app would notify the user of "The text has been copied to your clipboard or something like that, but till now I have not figured out how to do this in my index.ts file.

Furthermore, I cannot seem to get my control size to fit my button size... both is no issue, only nice-to-have features, so the control is fully functional as is. Would love someone to help me fix the last two issues though, so please feel free to comment.

    Hi,

Recently MS introduced this function, albeit with limitations: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/power-fx/reference/function-copy.

Yes, I also just saw this, this morning. I cannot use the function yet though. I wonder which version Power Apps it will be available for.

    Hi @GhitaFjorback1 ,

This feature is introduced in version 3.23034: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-gb/power-platform/released-versions/powerapps-studio-players/3.23034

Currently that's in preview only: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-gb/power-platform/released-versions/powerapps

Edit: Roll-out should be completed by April 17th though.

    Hello,

I wanted to use the new Copy() in "Power Apps for PowerBI.

Running the Power App seperately works fine.

Running it in Power BI results in the error: "Failed copying text to clipboard"

Any ideas? Thanks for your help.

    Hi @MichaGue ,

The documentation indeed states this does not work for embedded apps:
