Is it normal/fine to have modern and classic components inside the same canvas app

I have enabled modern controls inside our new power apps:-

but i found that modern controls do not have the containers layouts for building responsive power apps:-

so i ended up having modern UI controls inside classic containers as follow:-

is this fine?

second question why some modern controls are shown under "Preview" section? does this mean that those are not final and in preview/expertmental stage?

You can definitely use Classic and Modern Controls together in the same app, at least for now. I haven't heard anything about Microsoft getting rid of Classic controls, and if it wasn't something that could be done, they most likely would not have both available to you for use while building your app.

Re: your second question about items listed under preview... you are correct that the items listed here or with (preview) next to the control name from the Insert menu, are not intended for production use, because they can change/break at any time when Microsoft pushes out updates for the control.

@CatSchneider but does the modern UI have something which replace the classic ""Horizontal & Vertical containers"???

Not according to the Microsoft Documentation: Modern controls and properties in canvas apps - Power Apps | Microsoft Learn and I haven't found any yet while editing apps.

I've been searching too, because they are my most used controls when I'm building apps.

Just adding another perspective here. Modern Controls are very much work in progress and are currently lacking a lot of functionality compared with Classic. They are however being constantly improved/added to.

They also can be inconsistent on expected functionality. I cannot imagine Classic ever being removed as this would break any app written with them.

That would be my interpretation - although most of them still need development to mirror the functionality and predictability of their Classic equivalent.
