Hello.

I need workaround for using OneDrive on VM.

Was thinking about sending excel file or at least file content to sharepoint online with use of Power Automate Desktop.

Has anyone ever performed anything like that?
I am not able to find anything that would be easy and make sense.

You're right there's nothing right now in PAD that is easy to interact with Sharepoint.
Here are your options in hand as of now.

Using a third party connector which would be premium based.
Integrate SharePoint Data into Power Automate Desktop using CData Connect

Use Cloud flows which has got an inbuilt Sharepoint connector as well as for OneDrive.
Be noted that you can call a Desktop Flow from a Cloud Flow, so that way you can manage between the two.

As a last resort use the screenscraping options of the Desktop flows in PAD by adding UI elements something similar to this

If the initial file doesn’t originate from somewhere on Office365, and there isn’t an easy to use API for the external site, then I don’t know of a way to use Power Automate to get at such a file.

Hi @takolota ,
Maybe I'm thinking simple as I don't see the whole picture but I should do the following:

Save the file from an external site with PAD to OneDrive and then use PA to do the rest.

Hello @Guriga

That’s always the 1st solution thought of. However, if your organization requires Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), then every time the Desktop Flow runs, you’ll need to approve the authentication on your phone or it will fail.

That’s why I made something that just sends the data straight back to the cloud flow from PAD, so no MFA required. No human in the loop needing to authenticate at 1am for report updates.

Yeah!

That sounds like it can definitely read from SP, which you should already be able to do with a HTTP API call, but I wonder if it can also write to SP.
