Im unable to add Knowledge to the child agent, Im adding one of the SharePoint documents as knowledge, it goes through the steps of adding the url and it shows the document details, when i click on add to agent, nothing happens. The screen goes away as if the document was added, but it never gets added. It throws no error or any failure message.
1. Try adding the same URL to a parent (root) agent
If it works there but not in the child agent, the child agent is the limitation.
2. Ensure you are using the direct document URL
Correct format looks like:
https://contoso.sharepoint.com/sites/SiteName/Shared Documents/Folder/FileName.pdf
3. Upload the file to a public document library and retry
A quick test is to put it in:
Site Assets → Public folder
or
A SharePoint site with org-wide read permissions
4. Try uploading the file manually instead of adding by URL
Use:
Knowledge → Add → Upload file
If upload works but URL does not, the issue is definitely URL ingestion.
5. If none of the above work, then it is a platform bug
The workaround (confirmed by many users):
Create a temporary parent agent
Add the SharePoint document as knowledge
Export the agent
Import into the environment
Reconnect it as the "child"
