QR code scanning

HI,

I'm building an app which can scan QR codes. I would like the app to scan a QR which directs to a item within a Sharepoint list. The QR will contain the serial number of a device, once scanned this should take the user to the relevant page so that changes can be made.

How can this be done. The scan button to bring the QR code scanner up is on the first page of the app

Thanks 🙂

After you scan you can save the serial number to a variable Set(scannedSerialNumber, BarcodeScanner.Value).

After you have scanned, you van Navigate to your form. Navigate(YOURSCREENNAME).

The functions above can be placed (separated by a semicolon) in the onscan of the barcode scanner control.

On the form, you can set the default to Lookup(YOURSHAREPOINTLIST, SERIALNUMBER = scannedSerialNumber).

    Thank-you,

I am using a gallery, will this still work?

I have the app scanning and navigating to the correct page but i cant seem to get the serial to bring up the correct item within the list

    Thanks

You can set the default of the gallery to the scanned item.
