I created a powerapp from a SP list that was connected to an excel sheet. Edits were made to the excel sheet that didn't reflect in the SP list. I used Access to run a query from the excel sheet linked to SP to update the data. The SP list was updated but now when I go into the powerapp, it isn't linked to SP anymore. I tried refreshing and re-linking the data source but it still doesn't work. I'm new to all of this software so I don't really know where to start. I know I can correct it by making a new SP list and then changing the datasource to the powerapp to the new list but I am hoping to see if anyone can tell me what went wrong without seeing it for themselves. I imagine it is something that went wrong in Access. Any feedback would be very helpful. Thank you.
Hi @kmo20 ,
If you are using Excel as a Data Source (not the best choice is you have SharePoint Lists available), then all changes should be made from Power Apps, or you risk breaking the table structure linked to Power Apps (which I believe you may have done). Access is OK updating a SharePoint list (I have done this in the past), but maybe not in Excel if the Table is structured for Power Apps data.
