So, I'm new to this and I am setting this bot to receive report form clients over problems or risks they identify. Everything goes well with restricted answers (when we have an option list, or specific phrases, for example). But when I try to get free or generic comments from the clients, I can't seem to make the bot wait for the answer and then reply. How do I set the trigger to have him waiting for any kind of client's response and then messaging back?

I think you want to store anything from the client. I believe the phrase from the client would still need to trigger a topic or some sort (to have a reply back that makes sense). The bot is always waiting in essence. A trigger can go into another topic. So you could store then entire message back and check for another trigger into another topic if that makes sense. You could also ask another question like "Is there anything else I can help you with?" and then store the User's entire response as a variable. I like to have a topic for each item a client might ask. I keep adding them as they come up. It really helps direct them properly. So they can be in one topic and the next topic gets called. You can also track between topics. Or you can get into conditions and split out in the same topic.
