Excel pastes format changes so that the process cannot be executed.

Last month, the process was executed normally, but after reinstalling Office 2021 and updating at the beginning of this month, it was found that the format of the value pasted by Excel in different workbooks has changed, making the PAD UI element recognition error impossible to execute normally.

When the process is copied from an independent Excel workbook and pasted to another independent Excel workbook, if the PAD is executed in the directory mode, an error will occur because it will use the list of Figure A; but if it is executed in the edit mode, because it will use the Figure B list paste will be so normal.

The problem that Office changed the list format and made PAD unable to execute normally has not been resolved yet.

Why would you use this? You can use Copy from Excel worksheet and Paste to Excel worksheet actions under the Excel actions group to copy and paste. This works perfectly fine.
Otherwise, use keystrokes instead. Using the context menu is pretty much the most unreliable way of doing this.

Because Excel does not edit the relationship from time to time, it is necessary to open multiple files independently in advance, and then use UI elements to operate, otherwise you will use the PAD to open to Copy from Excel worksheet the operation method as you said.

You can use Attach to running Excel twice to attach to two separate files using their file paths and create two separate Excel instances. Then you can easily use the Excel actions on these files.

Thank you for your suggestion. Although there are many ways to operate, it is a matter of personal habit.

No one thought that there would be a difference between the execution in the PAD directory mode and the edit mode. This may be a bug that needs to be improved.

You are correct about the method in which you want to automate your flows depends on personal preferences. But this is only true when both methods actually work and are stable. If they are not, it's no longer a matter of preference, but a matter of choosing whether you want a stable solution or not.

As to this being a bug, it is not. It has nothing to do with PAD at all. It is simply a difference in behaviour of this version of Excel. As you mentioned yourself, it worked fine before you updated Office. So, it's not a bug and definitely not a bug of PAD. It's just a feature in the new Excel UI. So, your only choices are to either adjust your flow to work with this, or roll back to the previous version of Excel.

Strongly agree with the choice between multiple methods and stability.

Although this is a problem of Office format variation that caused the PAD to report an error, but the PAD itself should not have a difference between the directory mode and the edit mode. If this is not a bug, what explanation can there be?

It is the difference of the Office UI. As you have shown it in your screenshots, the context menu is different in the two different modes. PAD has no effect on what the Excel context menu looks like. So, it has nothing to do with PAD and everything to do with how Office behaves in different situations.

Of course, I understand the difference in the menu format of Office in copying, but the difference between the two execution modes of PAD should not appear.
