Hi all,
Recently I wanted to assign security roles to multiple users, I tried to create an Azure group in the environment and create a team, then assign security roles to this team according to the documentation below.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/manage-teams?WT.mc_id=ppac_inproduct_settings#access-your-teams-page
But when I checked the security role of this user, I found that the user did not inherit the security role of the team.
Has anyone encountered a similar issue, or is there any other way to assign security roles to multiple users?
Thanks in advance.
Cheer,
Qing
I also had similar req, 'm planning to use power automate to perform this.

Have You found some solution? Security groups or Teams in PA enviroment with roles deosen't give permision to access the APP.
Is it really necessary to assign a role 100 times to 100 users?
Hi @Qing , The administrator can create Azure AD group teams that are associated to the Azure AD groups in each of the environments and assign a security role to these group teams and whoever is the member of aad security they will ultimately get the security role. Then the same aad security group can be used for sharing the apps.
please check this for manager group teams in PA environment https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/manage-group-teams

This isnt solution. This does not work!
@Dominic4 It has worked for us and we had dataverse table as source of our app. I know that user has to access the environment url to sync the AAD security group member to groups teams and off course we cant ask every user to access the environment URL and for a workaround you can add one dataverse table in your app.
I am assuming that you and your user have premium licenses and that is reason above suggestion is provided.
Thanks,
ANB
