Using MS Expense App template without Dataverse

Sorry in advance as I am very new to the PowerApps world! I'm trying to build an expense app using the MS Expense App template in Powerapps. Most videos and information I've found has brought me to Dataverse which must be paid for. How can I connect the collections given and populated and have them go to a sharepoint list?

    This is not a simple question because I will need to review the app template in Studio page and suggest you a solution with SP list.
