Excel Data source error

I have a Excel table in SharePoint, and I'm trying to pull the data to PowerApps, but this error message appears:

A value must be provided for data set clientRequestId: 9fcb1c78-d7ef-4434-a38a-00f76e062d33 Session ID: 9831e790-fc9d-4c71-9659-244dd89124fe

Is it something in my Excel spreadsheet that I need to fix ? I would appreciate help on this subject.

Are you only fetching data from your Excel file, or do you get the error message when you update it?

I'm still fetching the data... I don't know if this is the issue, but my excel table has dropdowns and formula (if condition).

That was my first thought, that the problem is caused by drop-downs or similar, but can't say why only reading the data would cause this. 🤔

That would have made more sense if you were trying to write to the Excel file.

I took out the drop-downs but still persisting the issue, is this also related to the formulas ?

If I remember correctly, formulas could not be part of the table at all, for PowerApps being able to import the data.

However, I tried with a formula right before my last reply to you and that worked just fine now, so either I remember incorrectly or they have fixed that.

Although, it is worth trying to remove all formulas to see if the issue is with the formulas. It might also be that some formulas work while some don't.

I solved the problem taking out the formula, but using the OneDrive for Business conector. The same spreadsheet using the "Excel Online (Business)" I'm still having the issue. Do you know why this happen ?

Are you saying you still have the same issue with the "Excel Online (Business)" connector, even when you have removed the formulas?

Exactly ! The same file (with no formula/ drop-down) works in OneDrive, but it's not working in "Excel Online (Business)"

Take a look at the known limitations of the connector to see if you see anything that would apply to your Excel file.

Hi, I'm having the same issue. The very simple straight forward 300 rows Excel file worked last week. I could add it as a data source to a new Power App.
Today I cannot add this file as a data source to a new Power App at all. Same file in same SharePoint library, same connector, but nada.
Errormessage as in this post "A value must be provided for data set".

    Any suggestions?
