Greetings All!!

I'm struggling a bit with this flow, use case below:

1.  Trigger event: a new PDF is placed in a folder(Onedrive or SharePoint).
2.  A few of the pages are removed.
3.  A new PDF is saved (Onedrive or SharePoint).

I'm open to either Cloud or Desktop versions, but not quite getting how to do this.

Kindly,

Mike

If you don’t want to use 3rd party actions like Adobe or Encodian, then there is this Azure template that lets you split by page number or by pages where a text is found

    Hi,

I like Power Automate for Desktop because it is pretty easy to use and effective for this task.

So you can have a manually trigger flow (in cloud or desktop) or automate it with a cloud flow.

    Thomas,
Thank you, I really appreciate it.

I did see that action(Extract pages in a PDF) in PA Desktop, but how do I get it to reference a new file that comes in?  It keeps asking for a specific file.

    Hi,

You can specific the dynamic file by turning the file name into a variable in your cloud flow.  So if you are automating this with the trigger, when a new file is created, you need to pass the file name (or path) to your desktop flow.

To pass the value from Cloud to Desktop, the first step in your Desktop flow is to creating an input variable.  T

Next in your cloud flow, if your Power Automate for Desktop flow has an input variable, you can pass the variable from cloud to desktop, shown below.
