Hello Everyone ! I Wanted to create a canvas app backend as SharePoint, I want to show different screens for different users will be different based on their role/permission in SharePoint . I don't want to provide the access to database , means I don't want to expose database.

So Here is my ask

Do we need to provide permissions of SharePoint site to the end users or can this done by providing users list permission ? Please note that there will be approval automate will also be part of this in regards to permission and all.

Kindly Suggest.

    Hi,

I have previously utilised a separate list with item level permissions to enable different "access" within a Power App. Is this what you are trying to achieve? I explained it in a previous post on twitter here: https://twitter.com/SharePointJB/status/1222074380387266560

Hi @SharePointJB  , My scenario : I have a Sharepoint site in that I have 2 list which I wanted to utilize to perform CRUD with the help of Canvas app. Now I have 3 different set of users and for now they donot have the access to site or list (More over we dont want to give them access ). We want they to show them screen of app as per role.

I am not sure I follow. Is your intention to use the app to allow users to perform CRUD on the 2 lists but you don't wish to give access to those lists to the users?
