Video Control not working for Mobile App

I have videos stored in SharePoint Online.
I use a Media Control in Power Apps to play videos.
This works absolutely fine on the Desktop in a browser.
However, when I use the app on a Mobile device the Media control will not load/ play the video.

PowerApps:

Mobile App:

As you can see, it does not detect the video.
I have spent hours trying to get this work and trying many different ways of getting there.

Is this a know issue with displaying videos from SharePoint into a Mobile PowerApp?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, this is a known limitation with the Media control in Power Apps when using videos stored directly in SharePoint Online.

Why it works on Desktop but not on Mobile

    • On Desktop (browser), authentication with SharePoint is handled automatically, so the Media control can fetch the video stream.
    • On Mobile, the Media control requires a direct, anonymous-accessible file URL (ending with .mp4). SharePoint file links usually require authentication (?web=1 or tokenized links), so the video won’t load in the Power Apps mobile app.

    Workarounds you can try
    1. Use the direct download link
      • In SharePoint, right-click the video → Copy Link.
      • Replace ?web=1 with ?download=1.
      • Example:
      • Use this link in the Media control. This often works better on mobile.
    2. Alternative – Launch in browser
      • If you can’t generate a playable direct link, add a button or icon with:
      • Launch(VideoURL)
      • This opens the video in the device’s browser, where SharePoint authentication works correctly.

    Recommendation
For the most stable experience on mobile, use direct download links. If that’s not possible, fall back to opening the video in the browser with the Launch() function.

    Thank you for your response.

Unfortunately the ?download=1 option does not work either.
This was one of the options I have already tried.

The Launch() does work. However, I cannot use this option for my use case.
I need to remain in the application.

Thank you for your suggestion though.
