Code component not updated with managed solution

Hello,

Our team manages two environments: Dev and Prod.

In the Dev environment, when I import a new version of a code component, the app prompts me to update it in edit mode. However, in the Prod environment, I can't access the edit mode because it of the managed solutions. Unfortunately, the code component doesn't seem to update when I run the app (after importing a new version of Code Component into the Prod environment).

I've attempted to re-import the app solution and publish all customizations, but the code component still doesn't update. Any ideas on how to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

    Hi @Viatose98 ,

I have a blog about PCF versioning: https://dianabirkelbach.wordpress.com/2020/12/23/all-about-pcf-versioning/

There you can see how to check the PCF version in your target environment. and the importance if the part of the version you increment. Also, you can see check in the target environment, if you have only the managed version of your PCF (maybe there are issues because of older imports)

Reimporting a solution won't have any effect as long they have the same version. Maybe you can increment the PCF&Solution version, and reimport after that.

    Hope this helps!

Not certain of your specific issue, but one reason this might happen if your PCF update has altered the input/output params. Make sure the solution you are moving includes the form or canvas app where your PCF is registered - that way the config you set up for those params carries through with the solution.
