Hyperlink field causing "Network error when using Patch function"

Hi all,

I have a SharePoint list form built using Power Apps and I'm getting an the error "Network error when using Patch function. The requested operation is invalid". I believe the field that is causing the issue is a hyperlink field in the form. The hyperlink field has been added so that we can store the SharePoint file path for each "project" we intend to track with this SharePoint list. When I create a new record and add the hyperlink to the new record I get the above error, however if I leave that field blank I'm able to save with no errors.

For context, in the list settings the hyperlink field is of type "Hyperlink or picture".

I don't believe I have explicitly used the Patch formula anywhere in the PowerApps.

If anyone has any idea of how I could fix this issue, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

    Hi @BrigitteL ,

It is because you cannot Patch to a hyperlink/picture field in SharePoint - these are a historical field type that (like a few others) were designed before Power Apps without any interaction in mind. If you want to store a hyperlink, use a Single Line of Text.
