How to take ownership of a BOT from an ex employee Account

Hi

Please Help

The owner of our bot resigned last year, and we are struggling to give others editing rights to the bot.

He shared the bot with me for editing purposes, but it looks like he did not give me the ownership rights.

At the moment I can only grant other to view not to edit. How can I resolve this?

Thanks

A global administrator in your tenant or a Power Platform administrator should be able to access your bot and help you out.

I am the global admin but cannot give edit permissions. I can only give user permissions which is to view the bot.

As soon as I add a user, permissions get allocated by default and I can't change them.

    Hi   @NC12

Can you try to reassign the bot to a new owner, following these steps?

    Get the [DATAVERSE_URL]

    1. Go to the Overview page of your chatbot
    2. Click on the solution name - this will open Power Apps
    3. From Power Apps, click the Settings icon and select Advanced settings.
    4. The  [DATAVERSE_URL] should look like this: https://orgf3f055cd.crm.dynamics.com

    Navigate to:

    [DATAVERSE_URL]/main.aspx?forceUCI=1&pagetype=entitylist&etn=bot

Assign the bot to a new user:

    Hi Henry

I tried your steps though I found the DataServ URL under session details.

As soon as I hit the enter button, I got this error: 'We couldn't sign you in. Please try again."

Thank you for your help, much appreciated.

    Thanks @NC12.

Can you try with the root domain first (e.g. org1234.crm.dynamics.com)?

Also, I'm curious, are you using PVA for Teams?

    Hi

I tried with the root but nothing displayed.

Yes they used PVA for Teams to create this bot.

If they're using PVA for Teams, any owner of the Teams team should be an admin of the PVA bot.
