Safe to swap out our Dynamics Sales Enterprise license for a PowerApps Per User license?

We built our solution in a Dynamics 365 environment back in 2016 (before "Power Platform" was a thing) and have been using a Dynamics 365 Sales Enterprise license for the primary maintainer account ever since. We don't use any of the OOB tables/entities or other Sales Enterprise functionality, just custom tables.

When PowerApps Per User licenses were announced, we stayed with the Sales Enterprise license because we use Sharepoint Integration in Dataverse and at the time that seemed to still require the Sales Enterprise license.

Now I see that the PowerApps Per User license now officially supports SharePoint Integration in Dataverse, so it seems we no longer need to pay the extra cost for the Dynamics Sales Enterprise license. Would it be safe for us to switch? I.e., can we allow our Sales Enterprise license to lapse, purchase a PowerApps Per User license instead, and just continue with our same environment (based on Dynamics 365)?

The problem with dropping the Dynamics 365 environment is that you would need to buy licensing for all your users, not just the one maintaining the application.  What licensing is in place currently in your Dynamics 365 environment to cover regular users of your application?

PowerApps Per App licenses! We migrated to those in 2019 when they became available.

If you have per App licenses that cover everyone else, then yes you can drop your Dynamics license if you are only using Custom Entities.
