Missing Location Reports (Country & Region) in Power Apps Platform Analytics

Hi all,

I’ve been working with Power Apps and recently noticed that the app launches per country & region metrics are missing from the Power Apps Platform Analytics. I’m trying to gather app usage data to track how the app is performing across different regions, but the reports that should include country/region-specific data are not showing up. Has anyone experienced this issue ?

Thanks in advance for any insights!

Alma

Experiencing missing country and region metrics in Power Apps Platform Analytics can be concerning, especially when tracking app performance across different regions. Here's how you can address this issue:

    1. Verify Data Availability and Refresh Cycles

    • Data Storage Duration: Power Apps analytics data is retained for 28 days. Ensure that the data you're seeking falls within this timeframe.

    • Data Refresh Cycle: Analytics data typically refreshes every 24 hours. Check the last refresh timestamp located at the upper-right corner of the analytics page to confirm the data's currency.

    2. Ensure Appropriate Permissions

    • Admin Roles: To access detailed analytics, including country/region metrics, you need to have one of the following roles:

      • Environment Admin: Access to reports for specific environments.
      • Power Platform Admin: Access to reports across all environments.

Without these roles, certain analytics data might be inaccessible.

    3. Check Environment Region Settings

    • Environment Region: The region where your environment is hosted can influence data availability.

      • To verify your environment's region:
        1. Navigate to the Power Platform Admin Center.
        2. Select Environments.
        3. Review the Region column for your environment.

Ensure that your environment is set to the correct region to capture the desired metrics.

    4. Enable Tenant-Level Analytics

    • Activation: Tenant-level analytics provide comprehensive insights, including regional data.

      • To enable:
        1. Sign in to the Power Platform Admin Center.
        2. Navigate to Analytics > Power Apps.
        3. On the Overview tab, select Enable to activate the analytics pane.

This activation is essential for accessing detailed usage metrics.

    5. Consider Data Export Options

    • Exporting Data: If the platform's analytics don't meet your specific needs, consider exporting data to tools like Azure Application Insights for advanced analysis.
      • Note: The "Data export (preview)" feature might not be available in all regions or environments. If it's missing:
        • Ensure your environment is a production instance.
        • Verify you have the necessary admin permissions.
        • If issues persist, consider reaching out to Microsoft Support.

    6. Be Aware of Known Issues

    • Data Discrepancies: Some users have reported inconsistencies between analytics data and actual usage.
      • These discrepancies can result from delayed updates or data synchronization issues.
      • Ensure your environment is up-to-date and consider waiting for the next data refresh cycle.

By following these steps, you can troubleshoot and potentially resolve the absence of country and region metrics in your Power Apps Platform Analytics.

I am having the exact same issue.  We lost visibility to the locations of our users for a global application, which is a problem.
