I am working on my Level 2 autonomous agent, and have created a work flow. In the To section, I put an email, but when I try to test it, I get the following error message: Invalid connection, please update your connection to load complete details. I have tried different emails and other things, but to to avail. What am I missing?

    Hi @BS-24041744-0,

Sometimes, simply re-authenticating or updating the connection in the Power Platform connections page resolves the issue.

I am sure some clues I tried to give. If these clues help to resolve the issue brought you by here, please don't forget to check the box Does this answer your question? At the same time, I am pretty sure you have liked the response!

The error occurs because the email action is using an invalid or unauthenticated connection, not because of the email address in the “To” field.

You need to update or recreate the connection (e.g., Office 365 Outlook), ensure it is properly authenticated, and verify that the account has a valid mailbox and

    permissions.

Once the connection is fixed, the workflow will send emails correctly.

The "Invalid connection" error on Send an email (V2) in an agent flow means the connection hasn't been properly authorized yet, it's not about the email address you put in the To field.

Fix: open the flow in Power Automate, click on the Send an email (V2) action, and look for a connection warning at the top of the action. Click Fix connection or Sign in and authenticate with your Office 365 account. Save the flow after the connection is authorized.

If you're building this inside Copilot Studio as an agent flow, the connection needs to be set up from within the flow editor, not from Copilot Studio directly. Go to make.powerautomate.com, find the flow linked to your agent, and fix the connection there.

Also check that the account you're signing in with has an Exchange Online mailbox. If it's a service account or guest account without a proper mailbox, the Office 365 Outlook connector won't authorize correctly.

    Best regards,

    Valantis

This error usually means that the email connector (such as Outlook, Office 365, or SMTP) used in your workflow is not properly authenticated or connected.
    What you should do:
    • Go to the workflow in Power Automate or Copilot Studio.
    • Find the step that sends the email (e.g., “Send an email (V2)”).
    • Check the connection shown at the top of the step. If it says “Invalid connection” or “Needs attention,” click it.
    • Re-authenticate or update the connection—sign in with the correct account and grant permissions.
    • Save and test your workflow again.

    Thanks,
