Multiple environment license requirement

Can we use M365 E5 for multiple environment strategy? e.g to have Dev, Test, QA and PROD environments in M365 tenant can we use E5 license or users will need premium licenses to use multiple environment strategy?

    Hello @vinoddhanwe,

     

    Yes, your users with M365 E5 can user multiple environments, provided that you have sufficient Dataverse storage capacity for creating the different environments. Every environment consumes at least 1GB of Dataverse storage.

    In your Power Platform Admin Center, you can navigate to Resources --> Capacity to view your overall and available tenant capacity:

    To add to what @joe_hannes_col said.  The problem with your scenario is that the E5 licenses don't provide any additional capacity for building additional environments. Capacity is added when you purchase per app or per user licenses.  So although an E5 licenses is sufficient to implement the Dev - Test- Prod environment strategy you probably won't have enough capacity to implement it.
