I am working on a Power Apps canvas app, and we use the PDF Function experimental feature inside 2 screens
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-apps/maker/canvas-apps/how-to/pdf-function
now the project is due to go live mid February 2024.. so by that time could this feature get released to public ?
Hi @johnjohnPter ,
I am not sure what you mean by "released to public", Although the PDF function is still in the Experimental stage, it is live and can be used for anything that works for you.

@WarrenBelz by release to public i mean that the feature will no longer be in experimental feature and can be used in production environments
@johnjohnPter ,
Experimental does not mean it cannot be used in Production - there are some features that remain on this tab for long periods - mainly to indicate that they are not fully developed (for instance the PDF function is not good with images), however if something works, you can be fairly confident it will continue to do so.
@WarrenBelz thanks for the info, i am using PDF Function to extract form data and images and it is working. so what type of limitation does it have with images? can you explain so i can be aware of any limitations?
Generally they do not work very well if at all, although it is a while since I have used these.
@WarrenBelz although on Microsoft documentations they mentioned not to use experimental features on PROD/LIVe system @https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-apps/maker/canvas-apps/how-to/pdf-function
I only gave you my opinion from experience and that article may be standard disclaimer.
