Hi All,

I have several unwanted collections in my app, which I used for testing.  Is there a way to remove them from the app?

Thanks in Advance

Yes, you can permanently remove test collections. Have you try the following already?

    1. Open your canvas app in edit mode

    2. Go to App > OnStart (where collections are usually created)

    3. Look for lines like ClearCollect(colName, ...) or Collect(colName, ...)
Delete the entire line that creates the collection - Save the app - Preview to make sure nothing breaks

If It's Used in Multiple Places

    1. Click the search icon (magnifying glass) in Power Apps Studio

    2. Search for your collection name

    3. You'll see all screens, controls, and formulas using it

    4. Update each reference (like changing a gallery's Items property to a different data source)

    5. Then delete the collection definition

Using Clear(colName) only empties the data. It doesn't remove the collection. You have to delete the formula line to fully get rid of it.

Once deleted, the collection won't show up in File > Collections anymore.

    Hello @Skybluekid

You can easily find all collections in the app by going to Variables -> Collections. If a collection is no longer needed, just remove the Collect() or ClearCollect() formula that creates it.

Once you have the list, you can also use the Search tab and search by the collection name (for example, c_). The search results will list all usages, and clicking on the collection name will automatically take you to the place where it’s used.

Happy to help, if the issue is resolved, it would be great if you could mark the answer as solved by cliking "Does this answer your question?" so others with the same question can find it easily.

Thanks and have a great day!
