repeat content control for word template using xml mapping pane

I have a table with 2 columns and 6 rows.
The first column names are static and second column contains content control.
Now I want to repeat this table block preferably with a space or divider between.
Is this doable?

I tried to select all table and click on node then repeating, but my table keeps disappearing in output.
I am able to make it 7 columns and 2 rows with first row being header and second row being content control.

But I want to do it 2 column and  7 rows, so 7 rows be repeating.
Please suggest.
Thanks

Edit: I am not using power automate only xml mapping pane in word template.
I have the same question (0)

If you're using a Word template with Power Automate, the safest approach is:
    • Create a Repeating Section Content Control around the entire 7-row block.
    • Place a blank paragraph or divider after the table within the repeating section.
    • If the table disappears, wrap the block inside an outer container table and apply the repeating section there.
Avoid placing the repeating control directly on the table element itself.

If you are using Power Automate's Populate a Microsoft Word Template, DocuSign, Open XML, or another document-generation tool, let me know which one.

The implementation details differ, and I can provide the exact template structure that works for that platform.

The table disappearing when you wrap it in a Repeating Section Content Control is a known Word limitation. The repeating control doesn't support being placed directly around a table element.

The fix: wrap your entire 2-column 6-row table inside an outer single-cell table first, then apply the Repeating Section Content Control around that outer table. This gives Word a valid container to repeat.

For the divider between repetitions, add a blank paragraph or a horizontal line inside the repeating section after the inner table but before the closing tag of the repeating control.

If you're using Power Automate's Populate a Word Template action, the structure above works directly. If you're using a different tool like Open XML or Encodian, the approach is the same but let us know and we can give the exact template structure.

    You can follow these steps:

    1. Create a table with 2 columns and 1 header row (static names) + 1 data row (content controls in second column).
    2. Select the entire data row (both columns).
    3. In the XML Mapping pane, right-click the repeating group node and select "Repeating".
    4. Map the content controls in the second column cells to the appropriate XML fields.
    5. Optionally add a blank or divider row after the repeating row inside the repeating section for spacing.
    6. Test the template with your XML data to verify the rows repeat as expected.

@Valantis when I put my table inside an outer table then for repeat do I select inner table or outer?

Select the outer table (the single-cell container) to apply the Repeating Section Content Control. The outer table is what Word repeats, and it carries the inner table with it on each repetition.
    So the structure is:
    - Outer table (1 cell) ← apply Repeating Section here
      - Inner table (your 2-column 6-row table)
      - Blank paragraph (your divider)
Each time the section repeats, Word duplicates the entire outer table cell including everything inside it.
