Project Oakdale - Errors building an app

Hello,

Created a new Team in Teams to test Project Oakdale. After creating the team I attempted to create an app from the Power Apps app in Teams. The wizard came up and after a minute got this error :

The user with object id '<ID>' in tenant '<Tenant ID>' does not have access to permission 'ReadEnvironment' in environment '<Environment ID>'. Error Code: 'Forbidden'.

The environment for the Team got created and I can see it in the Power Platform Admin Center. The user creating the app is a Team Owner. When I attempted to add the Team Owner from the environment the error below shows up :

<User Display name> couldn’t be added because they haven’t met all of the access requirements.

The user has E3 license with Power Apps/ Power Automate and Common Data Service for Teams enabled.

Is this a service issue or am I missing something?

Thank you.

    Hi @sreenia ,

Here is the access requirements for user to access to Project Oakdale environment. For users to access Project Oakdale environment apps, bots, and data, they must:

@v-siky-msft - Thanks! The user is enabled in Azure AD, member of the Office 365 Group which is set as the security group , licensed with Office 365 E3 with Power Apps, Teams among others enabled.  It is my understanding from documentation that E3 license allows for Project Oakdale entitlement. The error message doesn't give enough clarity on what is missing. We would like to understand if anything is needed license wise. Appreciate any assistance.

    Hi @sreenia,

The configurations seem to be ok, the only one I want to mentioned is that the User must be the member of security role associated with environment and Teams.

You can go to Power Platform admin center to see the security group associated with Teams Environment.

@v-siky-msft  - Thank you! The Office 365 group associated with the team is set as the Security group for the environment in the Power Platform Admin Center. This is working as expected on another tenant I am using but not on this one.

Does the user have to be enabled for targeted release in the tenant for this to work? Appreciate any assistance you can provide.

    Hi @sreenia ,

What does 'enable user for targeted release' mean?

@v-siky-msft - Targeted release in the Office 365 tenant where we can set up specific set of users to get preview features. See this page https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/admin/manage/release-options-in-office-365?view=o365-worldwide

    Hi @sreenia ,

I'm not knowledgeable to Office365, you may try with it.

If the issue still exists, try to submit a Support Ticket to Microsoft for further assistance.
