Send an email Outlook V2 and Shared Mailbox

Hi,

I have two flows that use Send an email Outlook V2 action. Each of the flow uses my own connection but the From uses two different Outlook Shared Mailboxes. In one case, when the email is sent, I can check the Sent folder of the Shared Mailbox in Outlook and I see the email that was sent by Power Automate (it also shows up in my personal Sent Folder). In the second case, emails are sent and received successfully by the recipient (and it comes from the Shared Mailbox) but the emails do not appear in the Sent Folder of the Shared Mailbox but only appears in my personal sent folder.

The actions seem identical but no clue why the behavior is different.

Regards

I think you may be using two different Outlook actions. The action Send an email (V2) where you specify From (Send as) will be sent from your account and shows up in your sent folder. When you use the action Send an email from a shared mailbox (V2) action, it is sent from the shared mailbox and shows up in its sent folder.

Thanks. But my question is why the difference in behaviour. For both the flows, the connection is my outlook connection. But in one case the sent folder of that shared Mailbox shows the sent emails but in the second case it does not.

Hi @prathyoo , Emails will always appear in the account folder which has been used for the connection, irrespective of using different shared mailbox address in FROM field.

If you want the mails to appear in Shared Mailbox sent folder, then you might need to create a connection with account tagged to Shared Mailbox
