Unable to add new Text input field in SharePoint trigger "for a selected item"

Hello,

I have created a Flow based on the SharePoint trigger "For a selected item".

I want to add a new text input field in the trigger. I select the + button and select "Text" input type but noting happens! I am able to add other types of input fields without any issue (date, yes/no, ...).

Does anyone know why?

Cheers,
Frédéric

    Hi @FredericH,

I did a test on my side, I can add a text type of input, and did not meet the issue you mentioned.

Try re-creating the configured flow and reconfiguring For a selected item.

Please take a try again and feel free let me know if issue still exists.

    Best Regards,

    Barry

@v-bacao-msft, it happens to me only when I try to add an input text in a second time, after having save the flow and quit the interface. I was able to reproduce the issue with a new Flow:

    1) create a flow with sharepoint trigger

    2) add an action

    3) save the flow

    4) navigate to "My Flow" list

    5) select the Flow created in step 1

    6) add a text input to the trigger --> nothing happens. I can add other types of inputs (Yes/No, emails, ...)

I also tried to export and import again the Flow as New or as an update. But I still encountered the issue.

    Hi @FredericH,

I tested it on my side and confirmed that it is consistent with what you described, but when I delete the same type of input that already exists, I can add the expected input normally.

If you don't have too many requirements for the order of these inputs, you could delete the same type of input and then add the input again, so that you could solve your problem.

Or if you still want to keep the previous order, you could delete all the inputs, re-add all the inputs, and add them in the expected order.

    Best Regards,

    Barry
