Teams Environments - Dataverse for Teams

Hei!

How can one bets go around cleaning up and blocking these dataverse for teams environments?

1. Block creation for dataverse for teams environments? Block Teams apps?
2. Best way to understand why they do not seem to be auto deleting even if the env has no apps or flows? I assume it has something to do with dataverse but can one check if any data is stored or how can this be managed?
3. Cleaning existing - just deleting the environment does not delete the Teams team, right?

I assumed before there was an auto cleaning but seems like it stopped working? I see environments with no apps or flows and they still exist. I am uncertain if maybe i cannot see what is in the team and how best to delete these environments, without deleting the actual team.

If I get confused, i can imagine the poor users are even more so. I need to understand step by step the best approach to remove these and block.

what i recomend is first block the relevant Teams apps for most users, then review existing Microsoft Teams environments in PPAC, verify resources/storage, and only then delete the environment where the Team should remain. (Microsoft Learn)

    Hey @LorenaCucu,

yes, you have to block the teams-app for powerapps. By deleting the Teams-Env in the powerplatform, the ms-channel will remain.

We blocked it in our group, but some units need the access via MS-Teams. My idea was it to give them acces to the teams-app through one AD-Group. And parallel deleting all new Team-Envs with this flow:

The user who automatically created a new Teams-env gets also emailed with a link for the browserapp of powerapps.

@Valantis but how can we see any data stored? Its not possible from PPAC - environment to see the data stored.

PPAC shows capacity and per‑table consumption only; it doesn’t expose the actual records. Use PPAC for storage insights, then open the environment’s app or the maker portal to see the data.

    What stays correct

    What to adjust

Just wanted to check in and see if everything is working now. If you still need any help, feel free to let me know.

Also, if the issue is resolved, it would be great if you could mark the answer as solved so others with the same question can find it easily.

Thanks and have a great day!
