Hi everyone,
I am new to power platform. I want to send the document for approval, my scenario is when I click the approval button from the share point, It should trigger power automate flow to send approval request.
Can anyone help how to pass the folder path to power automate dynamically. whichever the file I send for approval, I need to get that path in the power automate.
Please help me on this.
Thank you,
Sravya

Your image looks like it is the trigger action for a selected file. If so, you need to enter/select the SharePoint site and then choose the document library from the drop-down menu.

The workflow can only be applied to one document library. If you need it to run on multiple document libraries, you need to create a workflow for each one and point each to the correct document library.

You don't show your flow, so I don't know exactly what you are trying to do, but if you need the folder path, follow the trigger with a Get file properties action with the ID from the trigger. The folder path is included the dynamic content returned from the action along with a lot of other information about the file:

    Hi David,

    Thank you for the reply.
I haven't created any flow yet.  I am looking for the solution how to do it actually.

My problem is I am not using any static site or documents for the approvals; it can be done from multiple sites for multiple documents,
when I select the document and click the approval button in SharePoint it should go for the power apps to fill the form, after filling the form I am initiating the power automate to send for approval.

for this scenario how to pass the document path to the power automate.

    Can you please suggest?

    Thank you,
    Sravya
