Agent Error Need help?

I've exhausted all other options to figure out why my agent (Agent 1) will not allow me to publish. It's throwing this error:
[
  {
    "componentDisplayName": "Agent Errors",
    "diagnosticResult": [
      {
        "$kind": "BotSynchronizationError",
        "errorCode": "PublishWithAIFeaturesDisabled",
        "isFatal": true,
        "errorMessage": "Agent contains AI features, which are disabled for your tenant. Enable in Power Platform Admin before publishing."
      }
    ],
    "errorDescription": "There is an error: 'PublishWithAIFeaturesDisabled'",
    "diagnosticErrorCount": 1
  }
]
I understand this means I'm unable to publish agents with AI features, however, this is the only agent effected and is a basic chat bot agent. I've tried disabling Gen. AI features, swapped models,

Any suggestions

    Hello   ,

    The error PublishWithAIFeaturesDisabled typically indicates that the tenant-level"Publish bots with AI features" setting is disabled in Power Platform Admin Center. Even if an agent appears to be a basic chatbot, it may still contain AI-enabled components such as generative answers, AI prompts, knowledge sources, or AI-generated topics that cause it to be classified as using AI features. If other agents can publish successfully in the same environment, the issue may be specific to this agent's configuration or metadata.
    A good troubleshooting step is to create a brand-new basic agent and test publishing it. Also ask your Power Platform administrator to verify that the tenant setting"Publish bots with AI features" is enabled.

    The error is confirmed from Microsoft docs. The "Publish Copilots with AI features" setting is disabled at your tenant level in PPAC, which blocks publishing of any agent that contains AI features.

    Exact fix: PPAC > Settings > Tenant settings > find "Publish Copilots with AI features" and enable it. This is a tenant-level toggle, only a Power Platform admin or Global admin can change it.

    The reason disabling Gen AI in the agent didn't fix it: the agent may still have AI features detected even after you turned off Generative AI settings. Check these specifically:

    - Settings > Generative AI > make sure "No AI" is selected as the orchestration mode (not just disabling knowledge)
    - Remove any AI prompt nodes or AI Builder actions from topics
    - Remove any knowledge sources entirely

    But the real fix is enabling the tenant setting in PPAC, not working around it in the agent. If you have access to PPAC, turn that setting on. If not, ask your Power Platform admin to enable it.

    Best regards,

    Valantis

    The most probable cause is that the agent still contains a hidden or residual reference to an AI feature—most commonly Generative Answers,

    Conversational Boosting, or a knowledge source—even though it appears to be a basic chatbot today. If you cannot identify the offending

    component, creating a fresh agent and migrating the topics is often the quickest and most reliable resolution.

    Hi @N962908,

    Can you please test with new minimla agent to see how this behaves with all the restrictions you have. Please create a brand new minimal agent with no AI features and try publishing it. If it succeeds, the issue is specific to your current agent’s AI components.
