In Powerapps, how can I use the BingMaps connector to get detailed directions from one postcode to another eg turn left onto the A406?
If you use the Bing Maps GetRoute method, it returns a response that includes the routeLegs data. This is detailed information, including turn by turn descriptors, of the route between the two points.
Hope that helps,
Bryan
When I try to bind a text box to routeLegs it says Expected text value. Should I be using something other than a text box to display the route?
When I set a textbox inside a Gallery to ThisItem.Route.description it says a3, A219. How do I get a more meaningful route? The A3 and A219 are roads, but I need more detail than this.
It looks like the standard connector does not access the full set of nested records in the JSON response. The turn-by-turn directions are there, but buried under routeLegs and a further level called itineraryItems.
You might be better off using Power Automate to pull the full JSON response into a record - see this post.
Thanks I got it working in Flow.
