My flows fail whenever there is an action to save files in MS Edge.

My initial troubleshooting is that Power Automate Desktop lost ability to recognize files save prompt in Edge after Edge update to latest version: Version 100.0.1185.29: April 1

PAD is not able to see it, you can't record, you can't add UI element manually - totally invisible.

Are you experiencing the same?

Seems that MS changed the popup from UI to JS and as we now PAD is unable to see those, similar to the other popus?

Just filled the support ticket but I smell the need to move from Edge to other browser that simply gets you UI explorer save as dialog instead of the additional popup.

Hi @momlo,

Not sure about what changed and why you are facing the issue.

But are you able to make use of the "Download from web" action, since it silently downloads the files to the given location and does not show the popup you are showing?

This will depend on how your download button/link is but you can give it a try.

Does that work in Edge? I tried using it in Chrome one time, but it failed, saying that I have to use the automation browser...

Yes, the site I used in Edge is https://filesamples.com/formats/pdf

The file got silently downloaded into the destination folder.

But as I said this will depend on how the download button/link is on that page.

Check if you are able to get the right attribute value of the desired file to download and pass it to the Download from web.

I was not able to make the "download from web" working for non IE browser, however last time I was tryign was on old pad.
I'll take another look in the future to see if anything changed.

As for the resolution to my issues - I was able to capture the new popup with manual Click UI element on the newest PAD ver. So technically the issue got solved.

Unfortunaltelly, new PAD brought antoher problem - it lost ability to select values from dropdown menus in our old Delphie application but that's another story, just scary that PAD versions can break old functionality 😞
