In Power Automation Desktop, I used the action "Retrieve email message" and the setting as below. The user name is an active outlook user and the passwords is correct. but after I run the action, got error message "Authentication failed on IMAP server outlook.office365.com", see the second screen shot.
Hey, I faced the same issue recently, I had some processes that were working before but suddenly started failing, it seems like MS disabled Basic Auth for IMAP around Oct 1st 2022 (Not sure about your case since it is older but for anyone looking for a quick solution like me, I found this), I re-enabled the Basic Auth by following this article: Basic Authentication and Exchange Online – September 2021 Update - Microsoft Community Hub

Okay in that case even your outlook will open manually, but bot will not accept. Its your wish , even i faced same challenge so.

I don't understand well, the email account is also my windows account, when I changed the password of windows, the password will also be changed automatically for my outlook account, and now the password works for me to get emails in outlook. What do you mean "issue with password expiry"? I know the windows password will be expired in each three months, but I'm sure now my password isn't expired.
In that case it was issue with password expiry so please change password and try again.

Ahammad, thanks for your response. I'm sure the password works. Additional, my colleague who used his email account and his password also encountered the same error, and he said the retrieve email had worked but now failed with unknown reasons.

Meanwhile check whether your password has been expired or not, or change your password and try again it will works.
