the login you are using does not have permissions to interact with the MCP server.

This error means the PowerApps MCP Server connector request is not authenticated. The request to the connector shared_powertools failed with HTTP 401 Unauthorized, so the MCP server could not initialize.

    Why it happens:

    • The PowerApps connector connection is not signed in or expired

    • You don’t have permission to the environment/app

    • The connector connection was not created or selected in the flow/agent

    • Token/session expired for the Power Platform connector

    • the MCP call is failing because the connector is not authenticated (401 Unauthorized).

    How to fix:

    1. Go to Power Apps / Power Automate → Connections

    2. Find the PowerApps / Powertools connection

    3. Reconnect or create a new connection

    4. Ensure that you have access to the environment and app

    5. Re-run the MCP initialization after refreshing the connection.

I hope this would work! If you have access to that env.

The error message indicates an authentication issue: "HttpStatusCode":"unauthorized" "Connector request failed"
    What this means:
Your MCP Server connector in PowerApps is not authorized to make the request—likely due to missing or invalid authentication credentials.
    How to resolve:
    Check Connector Authentication:
Ensure the custom connector is configured with the correct authentication type (OAuth2, API key, etc.).
Re-authenticate the connector in PowerApps (edit the connection and sign in again).
    Verify Permissions:
Make sure the account used has the necessary permissions to access the MCP Server.
    Check MCP Server Settings:
Confirm the MCP Server is accessible from PowerApps and is not blocking requests due to IP restrictions or CORS.
    Review API/Endpoint Security:
If the MCP Server uses tokens or secrets, ensure they are valid and not expired.
    Test Connection:
Use the “Test” feature in PowerApps for the connector to verify authentication works.

    The problem is resolved.

In case you are facing the same you have to go to manage connections in copilot studio (not in power automate) and then connect it.
