Dataverse and sharepoint list

Dataverse and SharePoint list functionality. When we build apps then when using SharePoint list we can fetch data using formula but in dataverse wether we have any limitations to display or fetching data. Kindly recommend since im using as400 and import in dataverse due to data authorization etc

Dataverse is a relational database that gives you the ability to preserve relationships among records. As well, a Dataverse table can handle something like 30 million rows, so you can work with relatively large data sets.

The biggest advantages over a SharePoint List are:

More delegable operations for easier in-app queries

Configurable Views for advanced filtering/sorting of data

The capability to use FetchXML for advanced querying of data, particularly through relationships

From your other posts, I see you are still trying to get data out of an AS400 system, so that will be your primary hurdle. Dataverse offers additional ways beyond a CSV file to import data, which may help you out:

Thanks for your great inputs.
Yes dataverse got lots of benefits and your inputs helped me a lot in assessments. sharepoint list don't have any additional cost,but dataverse comes with license cost in one way,but mainly it's secured than sharepoint list.

Last but not least, s400 needs to be Migrated but looking to understand if there are anyway cost minimal or free storage other than sp lists

By transfer data from host as400 to excel and import to sharepoint list . Office365 environment is our target. So how open it's to everyone and in the context of authorization etc. Ideally,im trying to migrate with SharePoint with cost friendly

Dataverse offers many more configuration options for security and privacy. You can restrict who has access to certain tables, records, or columns, unlike a SharePoint List that is open and available for an authorized user to see in its entirety.

OK. I like to understand if lotus notes data needs to be Migrated using some tool or just convert to csv or excel. Reason is I have no idea about these datasources. Kindly shed some light about this lotus note data into sharepoint. I greatly appreciate your kind technical guidance. Thanks in advance

Sorry, I don't know much about Lotus Notes to be able to help you with this
