I set up some approvals templates in the approvals app and shared it with a team. For some reason we all the sudden cannot see our sent/received approvals inside the app anymore. We haven't changed anything as far as I am aware. Anyone have any idea why this is happening?

    This usually isn’t caused by anything you changed.

    The Teams Approvals app is backed by Power Automate/Dataverse, and when there’s a service sync or rollout issue, approvals can temporarily stop showing in the Teams UI, even though they still exist.

    A few common things to check:
         Open https://make.powerautomate.com --> Approvals
              If you can see Sent/Received approvals there, the data is intact and this is a Teams UI issue.
         Sign out of Teams completely and sign back in (not just close the app).
         Confirm you’re in the correct tenant/org (top‑right profile in Teams).
         Ask if other users in the tenant see the same problem (helps confirm it’s tenant‑wide).
     
    This has happened before during backend updates to the Approvals app and usually resolves without any tenant changes. Approvals are very rarely deleted, it’s almost always a visibility or service issue. If the approvals are missing both in Teams and make.powerautomate.com and it persists for more than a day or two, that’s when it makes sense to open or escalate a support ticket.

    Hi, hope you're doing well.
     
    This usually comes down to environment or data visibility, not the templates themselves.
     
    There are a few options you can try:
    • Make sure everyone is in the same environment in the Approvals app (top right). Approvals are environment-specific
    • Check if anything changed around Dataverse permissions (Approvals uses Dataverse behind the scenes)
    • Confirm you’re not filtering by a different status/view (e.g. Completed vs Received/Sent)
    • If this is Teams-based, try opening Approvals directly in Power Automate — sometimes Teams view glitches while data is still there
     
    If approvals are missing for all users, it’s often:
    • environment switch, or
    • a temporary service issue/caching problem
     
    Solution: Signing out/in or switching environment usually surfaces them again. You can otherwise raise a support ticket to Microsoft.
